L.R. Chapman is located in Lewisport, Hancock County, Kentucky. From our significant reserves, we provide all of the clay for local brick and tile manufacturing plants with a 50-plus year relationship. Today, while this remains a significant aspect of our operations, additional research and consulting has shown the clay to be an excellent source for making a lightweight aggregate product. Because of a low permeability characteristic, it is excellent as structural fill or as an environmental landfill liner or cover.
